Das Thema der ersten Whisky-Tasting- Wanderung im neuen Jahr, mit dem Rhönschotten Gerson, war ein Jahresrückblick 2015.
Dieses Mal war die Anfrage wieder so groß, dass ich die Tour zu zwei Terminen angeboten habe, um alle Teilnehmer mitnehmen zu können.
Was gab es Neues in der Whiskywelt? Natürlich konnten hier im Rahmen dieses Tasting nicht alle neuen Whiskys vorgestellt werden. Deshalb viel die Auswahl, wie meistens, nicht leicht und führte dann zu folgenden leckeren Tröpfchen.

Start war wie immer in Krenzers Rhön.
Das Wetter war auch mal wieder echt rhönschottisch. Ein wenig frisch mit schneebedeckten Wegen und leicht nebelig.
Davon ließen sich weder Rhönschotte Gerson noch die Teilnehmer abhalten. Dafür hatten wir natürlich vorgesorgt, mit Handwärmern gegen kalte Finger, heißem Wasser zum Nosing- Gläser spülen und heißem Ingwertee, dem aber dann doch der leckere Whisky vorgezogen wurde.
Überrascht war der Rhönschotte Gerson ein wenig, dass z. B. der Dalwhinnie und der Auchentoshan, trotz der kalten Temperaturen, geschmacklich mehr Entfaltung boten, wie bei der Vorverkostung (Indoor).
Auch diesmal gab es wieder leckere Verpflegung und Wegzehrung. Frisch gebackenes Kürbisbrot mit Whiskybutter war wieder ein Highlight, genauso wie der leckere Schocko-Mandel- Whiskykuchen. Des Weiteren gab es Käse, Wurst und Schokolade.
Wir hatten sowohl ungetorfte, also nicht rauchige Whisky dabei, als auch getorfte Whiskys. Eine Runde Mischung so zu sagen.
Und zum Abschluss in Krenzers Rhön durften wir uns dann noch in Jürgen Krenzers legendärem R. A. S. T. aufwärmen, den ein oder anderen Whisky noch mal Indoor probieren und zu guter Letzt einen „Rhöner- Apfel- Sherry“ aus einem original schottischem Whiskyfass genießen.
Ja und dann haben sich zwei Teilnehmer auch noch in das entsprechende Outfit geschmissen, was nicht so oft vorkommt und den Rhönschotten Gerson natürlich besonders gefreut hat.
